Note. On cars of the latest releases, an upgraded heater is installed, which interferes with the removal of the windshield wiper. To remove the windshield wiper from such a vehicle, turn on the wiper at a low speed before performing work. When the brush arms are in a vertical position, turn off the ignition on the car.
Removing
1. We prepare the car for repair work.
2. Remove the air intake grille of the ventilation system.
3. After loosening the clamp, disconnect the heater radiator steam outlet hose from the expansion tank pipe.
4. We sink the steam outlet hose into the holes on the left side of the engine compartment lining.
5. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screw connecting the parts of the engine compartment trim.
6. Remove the left side of the engine compartment trim.
7. We connect the steam outlet hose of the heater radiator to the expansion tank (possible without clamp), to avoid spilling coolant.
8. Disconnect the rubber belt securing the expansion tank of the cooling system and take the tank away from the wiper motor-reducer without disconnecting the hoses.
9. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the nut securing the shaft of the right wiper arm.
10. With the same key, unscrew the nut securing the shaft of the left wiper arm.
11. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the bolt securing the gear motor to the bracket.
12. Disconnect the windshield wiper harness connector.
13. Carefully, trying not to damage the windshield frame, remove the wiper arms from under the frame and remove the wiper.
Installation
Note. If the wiper is new or after repair, then connect it to the connector to the car's on-board network. Switch on and de-energize the purifier for a short time (turning off the ignition) at the moment when the crank thrust will turn the lever shafts to the extreme (clockwise) position. This corresponds to the vertical position of the brushes on the glass.
Install the windshield wiper and all removed parts in reverse order.
