Replacing the washer fluid level sensor (VAZ-2110)

Note. The contacts of the washer fluid level sensor should be closed if there is less than one liter of fluid left in the washer reservoir. If the corresponding indicator in the on-board control system indicator unit does not light up, then the terminals in the connector itself may have oxidized, there is a break in the wire, or the sensor is faulty. To ensure the integrity of the sensor wires, it is enough to short-circuit the terminals of the connecting connector. If the wires are in good condition, the indicator should light up. A faulty washer fluid level sensor should be replaced.

Removal

1. Prepare the car for repair work.

2. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the sensor.



3. Unscrew the washer reservoir cap. Remove the sensor float from the washer reservoir and remove the sensor. Replace the faulty washer fluid level sensor as an assembly.

Installation

We install a new washer fluid level sensor and all removed parts into the washer reservoir in the reverse order.
