Ergonomics of the workplace (VAZ-2110)

The ergonomic properties of a car are the optimal coordination of the human and machine links in the human-machine system. And for a workplace, this is the correspondence of the seat and controls of the car to the anthropometric parameters of a person. The design of the seat of the "ten" facilitates the driver's seating at the controls, ensuring a minimum of psychophysiological costs in a state of constant readiness for a long time. This is achieved by certain geometric ratios of the sizes of the cushion and back of the seat, the ability to adjust them in the vertical and horizontal planes, change the angle of the seat back, shock-absorbing devices and the properties of the materials of the seat itself. This ensured:

• comfortable position of the hands when they rest on the top of the steering wheel;
• the position of the seat back so that it does not interfere with the rotation of the steering wheel by hand;
• excellent visibility over the steering wheel given the slope of the engine compartment hood;
• free passage of legs when boarding and disembarking;
• free movement of the legs without any disturbances when operating the gas, brake and clutch pedals;
• adjusting the angle of the steering column with such a position of the steering wheel that it does not interfere with the landing and control;
• such areas for the location of signaling devices, control devices and their controls, in which they are clearly visible and easy to turn on and off.

The color scheme inside the car has a direct impact on the psyche, which naturally has a positive effect on the level of performance and driving safety.
