There are currently many companies in Russia that can customize a car to suit all customer requirements. The "ten" is practically ready for all your wishes. In road safety theory, much is said about the benefits of an airbag. Many imported cars are equipped with them. VAZ developed the design of its car so that it could be easily installed. "Tens" with airbags were offered, but buyers did not want to pay extra for such cars. But if you want it installed on your car, tuning companies can install it.
Tuning companies can make the following modifications:
- increase engine power to one hundred or more horsepower,
- re-program the computer unit "January 5.1" so that by pressing a button in the car interior you can change the character of your "friend",
- install comfortable imported seats,
- by installing sound-absorbing material, make your car perfectly silent,
- improve the appearance of the car with plastic attachments,
- improve the car's performance by installing other shock absorbers,
- install a strut between the support parts to make the car more controllable when turning,
- select springs and anti-roll bars,
- repaint a car with non-standard paint,
- install 15-inch wheels with any tires.
Companies can obviously offer another set of modifications. But each modification requires additional costs from the customer, up to the cost of another such car.
The route computer disciplines the driver's work
Trip computers were developed specifically for the "tenth" family of models, but they are not yet installed on cars currently produced by VAZ.
Trip computer with index 2112, it can be installed in place of the clock. A special harness, which all "tens" have, is connected to the on-board network. It works together with the on-board computers for fuel injection control "January 5.1" and "BOSH-M", but it is necessary to install jumpers on them according to the instructions attached to this unit.
A Samara company has developed a domestic mini-computer MDK. It can also be installed on "tens" by attaching it with adhesive tape to the steering column housing. It is connected to the on-board network with three wires, according to the attached instructions. The capabilities of the mini-computer are slightly less than those of the standard one, but are quite sufficient to fulfill its purpose.
Here is a list of the main functions that the trip computer performs:

- instantaneous and average fuel consumption per 100 km,
- average fuel consumption per hour if the vehicle is moving at a speed of less than 20 km/h,
- the total mileage of the car according to the digital speedometer, which is more accurate than the standard one,
- average and instantaneous speed on a digital speedometer, which is more accurate than the standard one,
- fuel remaining in the tank in 1 liter increments,
- expected mileage on the remaining fuel under the given driving conditions,
- on-board network voltage,
- current time,
- engine running time,
- travel time,
- deviations in the on-board network voltage,
- mileage on remaining fuel less than 50 km,
- can be used as an alarm clock or calendar,
- if there is a sensor, it indicates the air temperature behind the car,
- has an alarm for exceeding the speed set by the driver.
The trip computer makes the driver think about how much fuel he spent when he tried to overtake all the drivers after the intersection, what is the most advantageous driving mode on a certain section of the road. And calculations show that only by saving gasoline over 50,000 km of mileage, the purchase of this device is justified.
