To complete the job, you will need a stud with an M8 thread, approximately 100 mm long, and a ratchet from a set of socket wrenches with a large cross-head.
Advice: The key can be made from a Phillips screwdriver (size #3). To do this, put a 17 mm key nut on the blade of the screwdriver and weld the nut with electric welding in the middle of the blade
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Using a ratchet with a removable cross-head, loosen the two lock screws.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the top screw of the lock and screw a stud with an M8 thread into its place.
Warning! The pin will support the inside of the lock. When following these steps, do not push the pin into the door. If you do, you will have to remove the door trim.
4. Unscrew the lower screw of the lock and remove the lock from the stud.
Installation
1. Place the new outer part of the lock on the pin.
2. Hold the inner part of the lock by the pin and use a large Phillips screwdriver to tighten the lower screw of the lock.
3. After unscrewing the pin, screw the upper lock screw into its place.
4. Using a cross-head wrench, finally tighten the lock mounting screws.
