Removal
1. Remove the brake booster (see "Vacuum brake booster - removal and installation").
2. To maintain the previous brake pedal adjustment, use a marker to mark the position of the brake light switch lock nut.
3. With an open-end wrench by 19 mm loosen the lock nut.
4. Remove the switch from the pedal assembly bracket.
5. Using a slotted screwdriver, remove the brake pedal axle retaining clip.
6. Disconnect the return spring from the pedal.
7. Using a slotted screwdriver, remove the pedal axle and remove the pedal from the bracket.
8. Remove two plastic bushings from the brake pedal.
Installation
1. Lubricate the new bushings and the brake pedal axle with plastic grease.
2. Install the pedal in the reverse order.
