Generator Drive Belt — Replacement (VAZ-2112)

Removal

1. Loosen the nut of the generator lower mounting bolt and the nut of the tension bar (see "Generator Drive Belt - Checking Condition and Adjusting Tension").

2. Loosen the tension of the generator drive belt (see "Generator Drive Belt - Checking Condition and Adjusting Tension").

3. Having moved the generator towards the engine cylinder block, we remove the belt from the crankshaft pulley and from the generator pulley.

Installation

First we put the belt on the crankshaft pulley, and then on the generator pulley.

After installing the new belt, adjust its tension (see "Generator Drive Belt - Checking Condition and Adjusting Tension").
