Removal
1. Drain the coolant (see "Coolant - replacement").
2. Remove the air filter (see "Air filter - removal and installation").
3. Loosen the clamps (1) and (3) and disconnect the radiator hose and the coolant pump supply pipe hose from the thermostat housing. Using a hex key by 5 mm unscrew the three bolts (2) securing the thermostat cover.
4. Remove the cover. If necessary, press on the top plate of the thermostat (1) and turn it, disengaging the edges of the plate from engagement with the cover posts (2).
5. Remove the thermostat and rubber sealing ring from the cover. Replace the damaged sealing ring.
Installation
We install the thermostat in the reverse order.
