Coolant Pump — Replacement (VAZ-2112)

Removal

1. Drain the coolant (see "Coolant - replacement").

2. Remove the timing belt (see "Timing Belt - Replacement").

3. On a 16-valve engine remove the rear timing belt cover (see "Camshafts of engines 2112 and 21124 (16v) - removal and installation").

Note: On an 8-valve engine, use a 10 mm socket wrench to unscrew the four bolts (1 and 3) and one nut (2) securing the rear timing belt cover.

5. If necessary, using a screwdriver, remove the pump from the cylinder block.



6. Remove the gasket.

Installation

We install the pump and the rear timing belt cover in the reverse order, replacing the pump gasket.
