To complete the work you will need:
- viewing hole or flyover;
- wide capacity, with a volume of at least 8 liters.
Execution sequence
1. We prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the engine mudguard (see "Mudguard of the engine - removal and installation").
3. We substitute a container under the drain hole of the engine radiator.
4. Unscrew the radiator drain plug (pictured top view) and drain the coolant.
5. Unscrew and remove the plug of the expansion tank.
6. On an 8-valve engine, remove the module mounting bracket (coils) ignition (see "Module (coil) ignition engines 2111 and 21114 (8v) - check and replacement").
7. We rearrange the container under the drain hole of the cylinder block, located on the front side of the engine next to the clutch housing. socket wrench by 13 mm unscrew the drain plug.
8. Wrap the drain plugs in place.
9. Fill the expansion tank with new coolant (see table. 16.4).
Advice. Use a coolant with a freezing point 10-15°C below the average minimum winter temperature in the region where the vehicle will be operated.
10. Fill the liquid up to the top mark of the expansion tank. We start the engine and let it run at high speed until the electric fan is turned on. When the level in the tank drops, add fluid.
Warning! Mixing antifreezes of different brands is usually unacceptable.
