Catalytic converter for engines 2111 and 2112 (1.5i) — replacement (VAZ-2112)

To carry out the work, an inspection pit or overpass is required.

Attention! Before starting repairs, make sure that the system elements are not hot.

Removal

1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. Key by 13 mm we unscrew the two bolts securing the neutralizer to the exhaust pipe.



3. Disconnect the neutralizer from the additional silencer (see above "Additional muffler - replacement").

4. Pull the additional muffler back a little and remove the neutralizer.



5. Replace the damaged or heavily worn metal-graphite ring (see "Metal-graphite sealing ring - replacement").

Installation

We install the neutralizer in the reverse order.

Warning! We install the neutralizer on the car with the screen facing down.
