To carry out the work, an inspection pit or overpass is required.
Attention! Before starting repairs, make sure that the system elements are not hot.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Disconnect the additional muffler from the main one (see above, "Muffler - replacement").
3. On engines 21114 and 21124, disconnect the additional muffler from the inlet pipe (see "Metal-graphite sealing ring - replacement").
On engines 2111 and 2112 with two keys by 17 mm we unscrew the nuts of the tie bolts and disconnect the additional muffler from the catalytic converter.
4. Remove the additional muffler by removing its brackets from the suspension cushions (see "Muffler suspension cushions - replacement").

Installation
Install the additional muffler in the reverse order. If necessary, replace the additional muffler suspension pads and the metal-graphite sealing ring of the hinge joint (on engines 21114 and 21124).
