You will need: socket head «at 27», keys «at 17», «at 19», mandrels for replacing the wheel bearing.
Helpful advice. To press the wheel bearing, use the appropriate size mandrels from the kit. In the absence of mandrels, you can use the rings of the old bearing.
1. Remove the protective cap.
2. Loosen the hub nut.
3. Loosen the wheel bolts and hub nut with the vehicle on the ground. The hub nut is tightened with a large torque, so it is recommended to use, for example, a piece of pipe as a lever.
4. Remove the wheel and brake disc (see «Brake disc replacement»).
5. Mark the position of the eccentric bolt relative to the rack, loosen the nuts of the bolts securing the steering knuckle to the rack (see «Removal and installation of a telescopic rack»).
6. Turn out two bolts of fastening of a spherical support to a rotary fist.
7. Turn away two nuts of bolts of fastening of a rotary fist of a rack and take out bolts.
8. Turn away a nave nut and remove a persistent washer.
9. Remove the steering knuckle from the rack bracket.
10. Press the hub out of the inner ring of the bearing using a suitable punch.
11. If the outer part of the inner ring of the bearing remains on the hub, press it with a puller. For ease of dismantling, there are two special recesses on the hub.
12. Remove lock rings from both parties of a rotary fist.
13. Using a mandrel, press the bearing out of the steering knuckle.
14. Before installing a new bearing, install the outer circlip.
15. Press the new bearing into the knuckle in a vice or press using an appropriate mandrel, applying force only to the outer ring of the bearing. Do not hammer the bearing - it may collapse.
16. Install the inner circlip.
17. Use a mandrel to press the hub into the inner ring of the bearing.
18. Establish a rotary fist in an order, the return to removal. Use a new hub nut or a nut from a different wheel (so that the old jammed parts a of the collar of the nut do not fall into the groove b on the shank of the external hinge when punching).
19. Finally tighten the hub nut in the same way as the wheel bolts with the vehicle on the ground and lock it in two places. Install the protective cap.
