Replacing grease in front wheel hub bearings (VAZ-2105)

To replace the grease, loosen the wheel mounting bolts and, after raising the front part of the car, remove the wheels. Bend back the tabs of the locking plates, unscrew the brake caliper mounting bolts, remove the caliper and move it to the side without disconnecting the fluid supply hoses, so that air and dirt do not get into the hydraulic drive system. In this case, the caliper should not hang on the pipes. Using puller 67.7801.9514 or a screwdriver-type mandrel and a hammer, remove the front wheel hub cap. Unscrew the adjusting nut and remove the washer. Using universal puller A.40005/1/9 B, remove the hub assembly with the brake disc, outer bearing and oil seal. Carefully, so as not to damage the oil seal, remove the hub from the steering knuckle. Wash the inside of the hub and bearings with kerosene. Before installation, fill the bearing separators with Litol-24 grease. Fill the space between the outer bearing rings on the inner surface of the hub with 40 g of the same grease, and put 25 g of grease in the hub cap before installing it. Then, carefully, so as not to damage the seal, install the hub assembly with the brake disc on the pivot pin of the steering knuckle, then the inner ring of the outer bearing, the washer and tighten a new or used nut, but on another car. Adjust the clearance in the bearings as described earlier.
