Checking the power supply system (VAZ-2115)

When checking the fuel system of engines with distributed fuel injection, you should first check the tightness of all connecting pipes of the system. Fuel leaks are not allowed. When turning the key in the ignition switch from position "O" to position "I", corresponding to the ignition on, you should hear the operation of the electric fuel pump, which should switch off after reaching the pressure in the fuel system equal to 284-325 kPa. Checking the fuel pressure created by the electric fuel pump in the fuel system, fuel pressure regulator serviceability, injectors are discussed in detail further in the subsection "Fuel injection system faults".

The cars use a distributed fuel injection system. Fuel is injected into each cylinder by a separate nozzle. The fuel injection system allows to reduce the toxicity of exhaust gases while improving the driving characteristics and fuel efficiency of the car.
