Checking in the engine compartment
Location of power system components in the engine compartment (air filter removed): 1 - fuel pump; 2 - carburetor; 3 - fuel line.
Remove the air filter before starting work (see subsection 3.9).
Recommendations:
- If leaks are found at the hose connections, tighten the hose clamps. Replace defective clamps.
- Inspect hoses along their entire length, replace any that are torn, cracked or have lost elasticity.
- If fuel is leaking from the carburetor, fuel pump, or fuel tank, contact a qualified technician.

Check from inside the cabin the hose connections to the fuel gauge sensor. To do this, fold the rear seat, unscrew the two fastening screws and remove the hatch cover. Then...
... check the tightness of the hose connection with the fuel gauge sensor.
Checking the car from below
The location of the power system components from the bottom of the car: 1 - fuel tank; 2 - fuel tank filler pipe hose; 3 - fuel line.
Inspect the hose connection to the fuel line. Replace damaged hose.
Examine the fuel tank. If a leak is noticeable from it, contact a specialist.
Inspect the connection point of the fuel filler hose to the fuel tank.
