Removal and installation the interior heater (VAZ-1111)

Disconnect the battery ground wire, move the heater control handle all the way to the right, and drain the coolant from the engine cooling system. Remove the instrument panel (see section. "Removal and installation the instrument panel"). Remove the air filter of the cooling system (see section. "Removal and installation the air filter"). Loosen the clamps securing the inlet and outlet hoses to the heater pipes and disconnect the hoses. Unscrew the two screws securing the heater pipe seal and remove the rubber seal from the front shield.

Unscrew the four nuts securing the heater from the passenger compartment side and remove the heater assembly with controls along the studs; when unscrewing the fastening nuts, the ground wire is removed from one of the studs.

The heater is installed in the reverse order. After installation and connection of the hoses, the cooling system is filled with liquid and the tightness of the connections is checked.
