Disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.
Drain the coolant from the system (the heater tap must be open).
Remove the instrument panel from the car (see subsection 9.10.).

1. Loosen the heater hose clamps (in the engine compartment) and...

2....remove the hoses from the heater inlet and outlet pipes.

3. Unscrew the two bolts securing the heater tube seal and remove the flat washers.

4. Use a screwdriver to pry up the seal and...

5....remove it from the heater pipes.

6. Disconnect the heater motor wires from the heater mode switch (if the switch was not disconnected when removing the instrument panel).

7. Holding the heater from below, unscrew the nuts that secure it on the top right (two) and...

8....on the top left of the heater (two).

9. Remove the ground wire from the left front heater mounting stud.

10. Remove the heater assembly from the vehicle.

11. Before installing the heater, check and adjust the air intake cover and heater tap drives. To do this, loosen the clamp bolt on the control lever bracket and, by moving the rod casing, achieve full opening and closing of the tap and cover. Install the heater in the reverse order of removal.
