Since 1989, a circuit for checking the serviceability of the parking brake indicator lamp has been introduced. When the starter is turned on, voltage is supplied to it through a diode and it lights up. After the starter is turned off, the lamp goes out. The circuit for connecting the battery charge indicator lamps, external lighting, high beam headlights and turn signals is given in subsection 12.15, V subsection 12.11, V subsection 12.10 and subsection 12.9.
Coolant temperature gauge
1. When the temperature gauge arrow is constantly at the beginning of the scale, then with the ignition on, disconnect the wire from the gauge sensor and connect the wire tip to ground.
2. If the arrow deviates, then the sensor is faulty and needs to be replaced, and if it does not deviate, then remove the instrument panel and, with the ignition on, connect the instrument cluster terminal to ground, to which the green wire with the white stripe is connected.
3. In this case, the arrow's deviation will indicate the device's serviceability and damage to the wires connecting the sensor to the instrument cluster. If the arrow does not deviate, the instrument cluster is replaced.
4. When the temperature gauge arrow is constantly in the red zone, then with the ignition on, disconnect the wire from the sensor.
5. If the sensor is faulty, the needle should return to the beginning of the scale. If it remains in the red zone, then either the wire is shorted to ground or the device is damaged. The serviceability of the device can be checked by disconnecting the wiring block from the instrument cluster and connecting the orange wire of the instrument cluster to the "plus" and the white-black wire to the "minus" of the battery. In a serviceable device, the needle should be at the beginning of the scale.
Fuel level indicator
1. The verification method is similar to that described above.

2. It is important to keep in mind that the wire that goes to the fuel reserve indicator lamp is connected to the "W" plug of the gauge sensor, and the wire that goes to the gauge itself is connected to the "T" plug.
3. If the pointer of the indicator is constantly at the beginning of the scale and does not deviate after short-circuiting the tip of the wire disconnected from the sensor plug "T" with the "ground", then it is necessary to check the device. To do this, remove the instrument panel and, with the ignition on, connect the plug to which the pink wire with the red stripe goes to the "ground".
4. If the device is in good working order, the arrow should deflect.
