Centering the driven clutch disc using the A.70081 mandrel
1 – flywheel; 2 – clutch assembly; 3 – mandrel A.70081
Removal
1. First remove the gearbox (see subsection 5.2.2).
2. Unscrew the bolts and remove the clutch housing assembly with the pressure plate. In doing so, do not lift this unit by the thrust flange of the pressure spring.
3. Clean and blow out the clutch pressure and driven plates with compressed air.
Installation
1. The clutch is installed in the reverse order.
2. Check the condition of the bearing at the end of the engine crankshaft; replace the bearing if necessary.
3. Check the condition of the splines on the driven disk hub and the primary shaft of the gearbox, clean the splines and lubricate with a thin layer of LSC-15 or LITOL-24 consistent grease.
4. Position the driven disk with the protruding part of the hub with the annular groove towards the gearbox and center the disk relative to the bearing using the A.70081 mandrel, which imitates the splined end of the primary shaft of the gearbox (see fig. Centering the driven clutch disc using mandrel A.70081).
