Replacing bearings and hub seal
To carry out these works, remove the hub from the steering knuckle.
We take out the brake pads and remove the caliper (see Front wheel brake caliper replacement).
We hang the caliper in the wheel niche so that the brake fluid supply hose does not stretch.
Loosen the hub nut and remove the washer and inner race of the outer bearing.
If necessary, if the separator of the outer bearing has collapsed along the way, do not press out the outer ring of the bearing, but replace only its inner part. However, as soon as possible, we install a completely new bearing.
Carefully, trying not to damage the cuff, remove the hub together with the brake disc from the axis of the steering knuckle.

... remove the brake disc and spacer ring from the hub.
We clean the inner cavity of the hub from the old grease, wash all the parts with kerosene and put in fresh grease.
To remove the outer ring of the outer bearing, we fix the hub in a vise. With a beard, trying not to damage the hub, we beat along the perimeter of the outer ring of the bearing and..
... we knock it out of the hub.
We take out the cuff of the hub by prying it with a screwdriver.
A spacer is installed under the cuff.
We remove the inner bearing from the hub in the same way as the outer one.
We press the outer rings of the bearings in a vice using the appropriate rings from the old bearings.
Old rings should be oriented with a smaller cone diameter inside the hub to facilitate their removal after the new rings are pressed in.
With care, you can press the bearing inner races with light hammer blows through the gasket.
We put Litol-24 grease in the amount of about 40 g into the separator of the inner bearing and the inner cavity of the hub. We cover the new cuff with the same grease.
Install the inner bearing into the hub. Install the spacer.
Carefully press in a new cuff with a hammer and a suitable tool (mounting blade).
Trying not to damage the cuff, install the hub on the steering knuckle.
Lubricate and install the outer bearing inner race, washer and tighten the hub nut.
Adjusting clearance in wheel bearings (see Front wheel bearing clearance adjustment) and install the protective cap. Before installing it, we put Litol-24 grease in the hub cap.
