- lifting the front of the car, remove the wheel;
- bending the edges of the front protective casing of the brake, unscrew the bolts securing the brake shoe guide and remove the brake caliper from the brake disc, moving it to the side. Do not disconnect the brake hoses so that air does not enter the hydraulic drive system, and also do not allow the caliper to hang on the hoses;
- using tool 67.7823.9514, remove the wheel hub cap, unscrew the adjusting nut and remove the sleeve 21 (rice. 4-1);
- carefully, so as not to damage the oil seal 25, remove the hub 19 as an assembly with the brake disc;
- place a stand under the lower suspension arm 4 and lower the front of the car slightly to compress the spring 9;
- disconnect the lower ball joint 18 from the suspension arm;
- disconnect the shock absorber 14 from the lower arm 4 and the side rod of the steering drive from the steering knuckle arm 29;
- shift the front wheel drive shaft to failure towards the front axle;
- turning the knuckle 29 relative to the upper ball joint 41, remove the knuckle from the shank 23 of the universal joint housing;
- using handle 67.7853.9535 with washer 67.7853.9540, press inner races of bearings 27 with dismantling rings and oil seals 25 out of the cavity of the steering knuckle. Mark the bearing rings in order to put them in their original place during assembly;
- clean from old grease and wash with kerosene the inner cavity of the steering knuckle, the outer and inner cavities of the hub, the shank of the constant velocity joint housing and bearings;
- put 40 g of fresh grease Litol-24 into the bearing separators, apply an even layer in the cavity of the steering knuckle between the bearings, lubricate the splines of the shank of the hinge housing;
- install the inner bearing rings, dismantling rings and press in the seals;
- put the steering knuckle on the shank of the hinge housing and connect the ball joint to the lower arm;
- fasten the shock absorber and attach the side steering link to the steering knuckle arm;
- install the hub with the brake disc assembly on the shank of the hinge housing and put the cone bushing 21;
- tighten a new adjusting nut and adjust the clearances in the wheel hub bearings;
- using mandrel 67.7853.9528, place the wheel hub cap;
- reinstall the brake caliper and wheel.
Note. In all cases where the nut is loosened from the shank of the outer pivot housing, replace it with a new one or use a nut; taken from another vehicle.
