The electric motor only operates at one speed | |
| The wires are damaged or the wire connections are oxidized | Replace damaged wires, strip wire ends |
| The heater switch is damaged | Replace the switch |
| The additional resistor burned out | Replace the resistor |
The motor anchor rotates slowly | |
| Contamination or oxidation of the collector, wear of the brushes | Clean the commutator, replace the brushes |

| Seizure of the anchor shaft in the bearings | Disassemble the electric motor, clean the shaft journals |
The instrument fuse keeps blowing | |
| The instrument protection diode is broken | Replace the damaged diode |
The coolant temperature gauge needle is constantly at the beginning of the scale | |

| The device sensor is faulty | Replace the sensor |
| The wires are damaged or their tips are oxidized | Check the wires, restore the connections |
| The nuts securing the device have come loose | Tighten the nuts |

The device sensor is faulty | Replace the sensor |

The wires are damaged or their tips are oxidized | Check the wires, restore the connections |
The sensor is damaged: | |
– break in the sensor flexible bus; | - solder the tire or replace the sensor; |
| - break in the resistor winding; | – replace the sensor; |
| - weak contact of the resistor current collector; | - bend the contact; |
| - the float is not tight | - replace the float |
| The nuts securing the device have come loose | Tighten the nuts |
The fuel gauge needle is constantly at the end of the scale | |
| The device is damaged | Replace the device |
| The sensor flexible bus is shorted to the fuel intake tube | Bend the tire |
| The wire connecting to the sensor is shorted to ground | Check and eliminate the short circuit |
| The nuts securing the device have come loose | Tighten the nuts |
The fuel gauge needle returns to the beginning of the scale when the tank is full | |
| The float travel limiter is not installed correctly (the resistor winding is running out) | Bend the limiter down 1-2 mm |

| The flexible drive shaft casing is deformed (dents, bends, etc.) | Replace the flexible shaft |
| Flexible shaft installation is performed with bending radii less than 100 mm | Correct the flexible shaft installation |
