1 – fan impeller; 2 – generator; 3 – capacitor; 4 – voltage regulator assembly with brush holder; 5 – generator marking; 6 – bracket
Before you begin: disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.
Note: The generator must be removed together with the bracket, since the body side member prevents the removal of the generator mounting bolt to the bracket.

1. Disconnect the connector with the wire from the generator terminal.

2. Move the rubber boot, unscrew the nut and disconnect the wires from the generator terminal "30".

3. Loosen the adjusting nut and the lower generator mounting nut.

4. Move the generator towards the engine and remove the belt.

5. Loosen the adjusting bar mounting bolt.

6. From the bottom of the engine compartment, unscrew the two bracket mounting bolts while holding the generator.

7. Remove the generator from the vehicle.

8. Install the alternator in reverse order. When attaching the alternator bracket, install the longer bolt closer to the alternator drive! After installation, adjust the belt tension (see subsection 11.13.).
