Before the beginning: disconnect the wire from the terminal "–" battery.
Note. The generator must be removed together with the bracket, since the body side member prevents the generator from being removed from the bracket.
1. Disconnect the block with the wire from the generator terminal.
2. Slide the rubber boot, unscrew the nut and disconnect the wires from the terminal "30" generator.
3. Loosen the adjusting nut and lower alternator mounting nut.
4. Move the alternator to the engine and remove the belt.
5. Loosen the adjustment bracket bolt.
6. From the bottom of the engine compartment, unscrew the two bracket mounting bolts while holding the generator.
7. Remove the generator from the car.
8. Install the generator in reverse order. When attaching the alternator bracket, the longer bolt is mounted closer to the alternator drive! Adjust belt tension after installation (see subsection 11.13.).
