Removal and installation the starter (VAZ-21099)

Before you begin: disconnect the wire from the "–" terminal of the battery.



1. Disconnect the connector with the wire from the starter solenoid relay terminal.



2. Loosen the fastening nut and remove the wire from the contact bolt of the starter traction relay.

3. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the crankcase guard.





4. From the bottom of the engine compartment, unscrew the two starter mounting nuts.



5. Unscrew the third starter mounting nut from the top of the engine compartment.



6. Remove the starter from the clutch housing.

7. The starter is installed in the reverse order of removal.
