Adjusting the tension of the trunk hinge spring (VAZ-2110) (VAZ-2110)

The trunk lid hinge springs must securely fix the lid in the upper position. If the force developed by the springs is not enough to hold the lid in this position, adjust their tension.

Sequence of adjustment

1. Prepare the car for repair work.

2. To increase the force developed by the spring, use pliers to move its bent end to the middle (1) or rear

(2) body bracket slot.



3. Similarly, adjust the tension of the second loop.

Recommendation: If the force of the maximum stretched springs is not enough to hold the trunk lid in the open position, then the springs must be replaced.
