The rear window wiper and washer nozzle are installed in the trunk lid. The washer reservoir is located in the engine compartment on the right.
There are two gas struts installed on the lid. They help open the lid and hold it in the open position. If the trunk lid slams shut under its own weight, the gas struts must be replaced.
Some vehicles are equipped with an electric drive for opening the trunk lid lock.
An assistant is needed to complete the work.
Removal
1. Prepare the car for repair work.
Warning: The following steps require an assistant to support the spoiler.
2. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the four nuts securing the spoiler to the trunk lid (two on each side).
3. Carefully, trying not to scratch the paint with the spoiler pins, lift the spoiler above the cover. Remove the additional brake light connector from the inner cavity of the spoiler and disconnect the connectors.
4. Remove the spoiler.
Installation
We install the spoiler and all previously removed parts on the car in the reverse order.
