1. Prepare the car for repair work (see points 2b and 4 "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Using a slotted screwdriver, remove the rubber plug from the inspection hole in the rear wheel brake shield.

3. Illuminate the inspection hole with a flashlight.

4. If the thickness of the brake pad lining "A" is less than 1.5 mm, the brake pads must be replaced.
