Removing
Warning. For safety reasons, brake discs are recommended to be replaced in pairs, on both brake mechanisms of the front wheels at once.
Warning. The minimum thickness of the ventilated brake disc is 17.8 mm.
1. Remove the brake caliper from the brake disc without disconnecting the brake hose from it (see "Front brake caliper - removal, installation, replacement").
2. So that the brake caliper does not hang on the brake hose, we tie it with wire to the strut spring.
3. With a metal brush, we clean the cylindrical seating surface of the brake disc on the hub from dirt and rust and moisten this place with WD-40 penetrating grease.
4. Using a socket wrench with a deep head of 7 mm, unscrew the guide pins of the wheel, holding the brake disc from turning by hand.
5. Remove the brake disc from the hub. If the brake disc is not removed, then tap the brake disc with a hammer on the plane of the wheel attachment near the hub.
Warning. Hammer blows on the working surface of the brake disc are not allowed!
Installation
1. We clean the seat of the brake disc on the hub from dirt and rust, cover it with grease.
2. Next, install all the removed parts on the car in reverse order.
3. We wipe the working surfaces of the brake disc with a rag moistened with a solvent.
