Removing
1. We prepare the car for repair work (see paragraphs 2b and 4 "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the brake hose from the shock absorber bracket (see point 3 "Front brake hose - removal, installation, replacement").
3. Through the inspection hole in the floating bracket of the brake caliper, slightly push the brake pads so that they move away from the brake disc.
4. Loosen the lower end of the brake hose (see point 7 "Front brake hose - removal, installation, replacement").
5. Using a 17 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two bolts securing the brake caliper to the steering knuckle.
6. Remove the brake caliper assembly from the brake disc from the car.
Warning. Do not press the brake pedal with the brake caliper removed.
7. Rotating the brake caliper, unscrew the lower tip of the brake hose from it and remove the brake caliper from the car.
Installation
1. We install the brake caliper and all removed parts on the car in the reverse order of removal.
2. We remove air from the hydraulic brake system (see "Bleeding brakes, changing brake fluid").
