Removal
1. Prepare the car for repair work (see points 2b and 4 "Preparing a car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the brake hose from the shock strut bracket (see point 3 "Front brake hose - removal, installation, replacement").
3. Through the inspection hole in the floating bracket of the brake caliper, slightly move the brake pads apart so that they move away from the brake disc.
4. Loosen the lower end of the brake hose (see point 7 "Front brake hose - removal, installation, replacement").

5. Using a 17 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two bolts securing the brake caliper to the steering knuckle.
6. Remove the brake caliper assembly from the brake disc from the vehicle.
Warning: Do not press the brake pedal with the brake caliper removed.
7. Rotate the brake caliper, unscrew the lower end of the brake hose from it and remove the brake caliper from the car.
Installation
1. Install the brake caliper and all removed parts on the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
2. Remove air from the brake hydraulic system (see "Bleeding brakes, replacing brake fluid").
