Removal
1. Remove the timing belt (see "Timing belt - removal, installation, replacement").
2. Remove the timing belt guide roller.
3. Remove the timing mechanism tension roller.
The tension and guide rollers must rotate freely, without play, jamming or noise. Defective rollers must be replaced.
Installation
We install the tension and guide rollers on the car in the reverse order. After installing the belt (see "Timing belt - removal, installation, replacement") we adjust its tension (see "Timing belt - checking condition and adjusting belt tension").
