1. Remove the decorative steering column trims (see above, "Decorative steering column trims - removal and installation").
2. If the lever was lowered, move it to the upper position.
3. Using pliers, remove the retaining ring from the steering column tilt adjustment mechanism bolt.
4. Remove the lever from the bolt.
5. Move the lever one slot clockwise.
6. Check the reliability of the steering column fixation with the lever.

7. In its upper position, the lever should be parallel to the steering column.
8. If further adjustment is not required, fix the lever with a locking ring. Otherwise, move the lever one more slot clockwise and check the adjustment again.
9. Install the steering column pads.
