Removal
1. Prepare the vehicle for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Set the front wheels of the car to the straight-ahead position.
3. Using a screwdriver, remove the decorative element of the horn switch cover.
4. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the switch cover.
5. With a socket wrench by 24 mm using an extension, unscrew the steering wheel mounting nut, holding it from turning.
6. Using a center punch or marker, mark the position of the steering wheel on the shaft.
7. Using both palms, hit the steering wheel from the dashboard side one after the other until the steering wheel comes off the shaft splines.
8. Remove the steering wheel.
9. If you are unable to remove the steering wheel from the shaft using the method described above, you can unscrew the nut and pull the steering wheel towards you with your knees, then strike the end of the shaft several times with a hammer using a soft metal punch.
Installation
We install the steering wheel in the reverse order. When installing the steering wheel, use a new self-locking nut.
