Removal
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the camshafts (see "Camshafts of engines 2112 and 21124 (16v) - removal and installation").
3. When assembling, it is recommended to install the hydraulic tappets in their original places, so we mark their serial numbers with a marker.
4. Using a magnet, remove the hydraulic tappets from their seats.
5. To prevent dirt from getting inside the hydraulic tappets and causing them to fail, lay the tappets out on a clean sheet of paper.
Installation
We install the hydraulic tappets in the reverse order.
Advice.Before installation, dip each hydraulic tappet into a container with fresh engine oil. Press the compensator valve several times until air bubbles stop escaping to fill its internal cavity with oil.
