The volume of the lubrication system is 3.5 l.
Recommendation: It is better to change the oil on a hot engine - for its more complete removal.
Caution! The oil is hot - be careful not to burn your hands!
To complete the work you will need:
- inspection pit or overpass;
- oil filter remover.
- wide container with a capacity of at least 4 liters.
Sequence of execution
1. Prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Place a container for used oil under the engine.
3. Unscrew the oil filler cap.
4. Key by 17 mm we unscrew the drain plug of the engine oil pan.
5. Drain the oil from the engine.
6. After waiting for the oil to completely drain from the engine oil pan, tighten the drain plug.
7. Using a puller, loosen the oil filter.
8. Unscrew the oil filter by hand.
9. Wipe the mating surface of the oil filter on the cylinder block with a clean rag.
Recommendation: Before installing a new filter, fill it with oil to 2/3 of its volume
10. Apply clean motor oil to the rubber sealing ring of the filter and screw the filter into place.
11. Tighten the filter using only hand force.
12. Pour oil into the engine through a funnel, checking its level using the dipstick (see "Lubrication system - checking the oil level").
