A worn or damaged front wheel drive oil seal can be identified by visual inspection of the gearbox. If the vehicle is used for a long time with a faulty oil seal, the oil leak areas will be covered with a thick layer of greasy dirt. If oil leaks are detected on the gearbox housing and oil is decreasing from the gearbox, the faulty oil seal must be replaced.
Note: Replacement of drive seals is performed without removing the gearbox from the vehicle.
Warning! Right and left drive oil seals are not interchangeable (part numbers: right oil seal - 2110-2301034 or 2110-2301034-01; left oil seal - 2110-2301035 or 2110-2301035-01.
Removal
1. Drain the oil from the gearbox (see "Gearbox - Oil change").
2. Remove the drive (see "Front Wheel Drive - Removal and Installation").
3. Using a large slotted screwdriver or mounting blade, pry the seal out of the mounting hole.

Installation
We lubricate the working edge of the new seal with transmission oil and press it in, using the old seal as a mandrel.
The opposite wheel drive seal is replaced in the same way.
Warning! Do not remove both drives at the same time, or, if necessary, install a special mandrel in place of one of them to prevent the axle gears from falling out of the differential box.
