- special wrench for the bleed valve or ring wrench by 8 mm;
- transparent vinyl tube of suitable diameter;
- container for draining brake fluid;
- new brake fluid recommended by the manufacturer (see "Reference data").
- viewing hole or flyover (desirable).
Execution sequence
1. We prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the brake fluid level emergency drop sensor connector and remove the reservoir cap (see "Brake fluid low level sensor - check and replace").
Warning! To prevent air from entering the hydraulic drive of the brake system during the replacement of the brake fluid, make sure that its level in the tank does not fall below the mark "MIN".
3. With a pear, we select the working fluid from the reservoir of the main brake cylinder.
4. Pour new fluid into the tank up to the top edge of the tank.
5. We pump the contours of the hydraulic drive system, starting from the rear wheels of the car (see "Hydraulic brake drive - pumping").
6. We carry out pumping of each wheel cylinder before the start of the release of a new (lighter) brake fluid from the fitting.
7. After replacing the fluid in both circuits, we check the operation of the hydraulic drive and bring the fluid level in the reservoir of the main brake cylinder to normal.
