Removing
1. We prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. With a rubber bulb or syringe, we select the brake fluid from the reservoir of the main brake cylinder.
3. Special key by 10 mm loosen the fittings of the four brake pipes of the master brake cylinder.
4. Open end wrench by 10 mm completely unscrew the union of the four tubes. Carefully, without bending the tubes strongly, we remove them from the main brake cylinder.
5. Key by 17 mm unscrew the two nuts securing the brake master cylinder to the vacuum booster housing.
6. Remove the main brake cylinder assembly with the tank from the vacuum booster.
7. We clamp the cylinder in a vice. Having tilted the tank to the side, we remove its pipes from the rubber sealing bushings.
Installation
1. We assemble and install the main brake cylinder in reverse order.
Before installing the reservoir on a new brake cylinder, wet the reservoir pipes with clean brake fluid.
We tighten the fitting of the brake pipes with a special wrench.
2. Fill the tank with fresh brake fluid and pump the hydraulic drive of the brake system (see "Hydraulic brake drive - pumping").
3. We check the absence of fluid leaks at the points of connection of the brake pipes to the main brake cylinder.
