Checking in the engine compartment
Places to check for possible oil leakage: 1 - pointer (probe) oil level in the crankcase; 2 - crankcase ventilation hose; 3 - cylinder head; 4 - head cover; 5 - hose of the small branch of the crankcase ventilation; 6 - hose of the large crankcase ventilation branch; 7 - pointer (probe) oil level in gearbox
Recommendations:
- Check the tightness of the seals regularly, especially on a new vehicle. This will help to identify hidden defects.
- If you find signs of fluid leakage, first wipe the area thoroughly and inspect it after a while. The appearance of new traces of leakage indicates the presence of a leak. To eliminate it, contact the experts.
- Oil leakage from several places in the engine at the same time can be caused by pinching the crankcase ventilation hoses.
