Set the steering wheel to the straight ahead position.
Remove the steering wheel (see subsection 6.1.), steering column shaft covers (see subsection 8.4.8.) and remove the instrument cluster from the instrument panel (see subsection 8.6.1.).

3. Loosen the clamp bolt securing the steering column switch to the steering column.
4. Take out wires with connecting blocks from under a combination of devices.
5. Remove the steering column switch.
6. Remove the ignition switch (see subsection 8.4.8.).
7. Remove the two bolts and two nuts securing the steering column shaft bracket and...

9. Loosen the nut of the intermediate propeller shaft coupling bolt to the steering gear shaft.
10. Use a screwdriver to open the terminal connection of the intermediate cardan shaft of the steering mechanism...
11.... remove the intermediate shaft from the steering gear shaft and steering column assembly.
12. Turn away a nut of a bolt of fastening of an intermediate universal joint to a steering column shaft.
13. With a screwdriver inserted between the steering column and the universal joint...
14.... separate the intermediate shaft and the steering column shaft.
15. Install the new intermediate shaft in the reverse order of removal.
