Carefully secure the oil pump in a vice (see fig. 25). Unscrew the bolts securing the inlet pipe and remove it together with the oil pressure reducing valve 10 and spring 3. Remove cover 2, take out shaft 1 of the pump with the drive gear and the driven gear from the housing.
The pump is assembled in the reverse order. When assembling the pump, the drive shaft should turn smoothly, without jamming.
