Removal and installation the oil pump on a car (VAZ-2101)

Place the car on a lift, apply the parking brake and disconnect the ground terminal from the battery. Unscrew the drain plug and drain the oil from the engine crankcase into a prepared container.

Remove the protective plates and engine splash guard, having first unscrewed the mounting screws. Loosen the nuts of the engine mounting support cushions. Install the A.70526 engine support crossbar on the vehicle and hang it up.

Unscrew the crankcase mounting bolts and remove the crankcase together with the gasket. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the oil pump.

Install the oil pump in the reverse order of removal. Replace the oil pan gasket with a new one. After final assembly, fill the pan with engine oil.
