Removing
1. We install the car on a viewing hole or overpass (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the gearbox (see "Gearbox - removal and installation").
3. We screw one of the bolts securing the clutch housing into the hole in the cylinder block.
TipIf the basket is not planned to be replaced, then we mark its position on the flywheel with a center punch.
Attention! When performing the following operation, in order to avoid deformation of the clutch housing, we unscrew the bolts sequentially, no more than one revolution per pass.
4. Holding the flywheel from turning with a mounting spatula inserted between the teeth of the flywheel crown, with a socket wrench at 13 mm unscrew the six bolts securing the basket to the flywheel.
5. Remove the basket and clutch disc.
6. With a slotted screwdriver, we bend the edge of the cover of the clutch fork and remove the cover.
7. We disengage the fork from the release bearing clutch spring, remove the fork from the ball joint and remove it from the hole in the clutch housing.
8. Remove the release bearing clutch with a spring from the guide sleeve.
Installation
Before installing clutch parts, carefully check their condition. Deep grooves, burn marks and cracks are not allowed on the working surfaces of the flywheel and pressure plate. The friction linings of the driven disk should not have cracks, chips, warping and heavy wear, wear marks should not be visible on the rivet heads. The disc hub should move along the splines of the input shaft without jamming. The release bearing should rotate easily, without extraneous noise. Cracks are unacceptable on the clutch housing.
Faulty and damaged parts are replaced. It is advisable to install new bolts for fastening the basket to the flywheel.
1. We wipe the working surfaces of the discs, flywheel and input shaft with a cloth moistened with white spirit.
2. We apply a thin layer of SHRUS-4 lubricant or similar on the smooth and splined surfaces of the input shaft, as well as on the fork ball joint.
3. With a mandrel inserted into the hole in the inner ring of the bearing at the end of the crankshaft, we center the position of the driven disk. The protruding part of the disc hub must be directed towards the basket. In this case, the driven disk will be held by the mandrel.
4. We install the clutch basket on the flywheel, aligning the centering holes of the casing with the flywheel pins.
5. Evenly tighten the bolts securing the clutch basket to the flywheel no more than one turn per pass. Bolt tightening torque 19.1-30.9 Nm. After tightening, the mandrel should be freely removed from the driven disk.
6. Further installation is carried out in reverse order.
7. After installation, we adjust the free play of the pusher of the working cylinder (see "Clutch release hydraulic drive - check and adjustment").
