Removal and installation the carburetor (VAZ-2105)

When removing the carburetor, loosen the clamps and remove the crankcase ventilation hoses and thermostat from the air filter pipes.

Loosen the mounting nuts and remove the air filter cover, take out the filter element.

Unscrew the four mounting nuts and remove the air filter housing.

Disconnect the air damper drive rod and rod casing from the carburetor, rod 6 (see fig. 46) carburetor drive and return spring 4.

Remove the fuel supply hoses, engine crankcase ventilation hoses, pneumatic valve hoses, and vacuum supply hoses to the vacuum regulator from the carburetor pipes (for carburetor 21051-1107010 and 21053-1107010, disconnect the electrical wires from the electromagnetic shut-off valve and the forced idle economizer limit switch).

Loosen the nuts securing the carburetor to the intake manifold and remove it together with the gasket.

Close the inlet hole of the intake pipe with a plug.

Install the carburetor in the reverse order. Before installation, check the condition of the surfaces connecting the carburetor to the intake pipe. Do not fasten or tighten the nuts of a heated carburetor.
