When installing the fuel pump, 3 gaskets are used: A - 0.27-0.33 mm thick; B - thickness 0.70-0.80 mm; C — thickness 1.10-1.30 mm. The pump installation diagram is shown in Fig. 48.
To ensure reliable operation of the pump, install it as follows:
- Install the heat-insulating spacer, placing gasket A underneath it, and gasket B on the plane in contact with the pump.
- Measure the distance d using device 67.7834.9006 (the minimum amount by which the pushrod protrudes, established by slowly turning the engine crankshaft). If d is between 0.8 and 1.3 mm, then secure the pump to the engine. If d is less than 0.8 mm, replace gasket B with gasket A; if d is greater than 1.3 mm, replace gasket B with gasket C. Check the value of d again and secure the pump to the engine.
