The ignition switch is checked for correct contact closure in different key positions (see table. Ignition switch terminal connections) and operation of the anti-theft device. Voltage from the battery and generator is supplied to contacts "30" and "30/1". The free plug "INT" is used to connect the radio receiver.

Locking rod 1 (see fig. Ignition switch) the anti-theft device must extend when the key is set to position III (parking) and removed from the lock. The locking rod must retract after turning the key from position III (parking) to position 0 (off). The key must be removed from the lock only in position III.



Before 1986, in the contact part of the ignition switches, instead of one common contact "15", there were two contacts "15/1" and "15/2". Contact "15/2" was switched with contact "30/1" and turned on the heater, rear window heating and reversing light. Contact "15/1" was switched with contact "30" and turned on everything else specified in the table. Switching of ignition switch terminals for contact "15".

When installing the contact part into the switch housing, it must be positioned so that the plugs "15" and "30" are on the side of the locking rod 1, while the wide protrusion "a" of the contact part will enter the wide groove of the ignition switch housing.
