- put the gearshift lever in neutral and apply the parking brake;
- by rotating the crankshaft, set the breaker cam to a position where the breaker contacts are maximally open;
- check the gap size with a feeler gauge; if it goes beyond 0.35-0.45 mm, then loosen screws 21 (see fig. 7-21) fastening the breaker stand, turn it to the required value by inserting the screwdriver blade into the groove 22. After adjustment, tighten the screws 21 until they stop.
