After the first 2,000 km, and then every 30,000 km, check and, if necessary, adjust the free travel of the clutch release fork lever (at the clutch with a servo mechanism), for what:
- loosen nuts 6 and 7 (see figure 58) and install a 1.5 mm diameter wire feeler gauge into the window of the link 11 so that it is located between the edge B of the link and the socket of the lever 12 of the clutch release fork. Tightening nuts 6 and 7, eliminate the gaps in the clutch release drive. After removing the feeler gauge, check the amount of free play of the lever and, if necessary, repeat the adjustment.
If necessary (when the full pedal travel exceeds 160 mm for a clutch with a gap-free drive, which has no gap between the clutch release bearing and the petals of the pressure spring) adjust the full pedal travel, for which:
- by successively rotating nuts 6 and 7 (turning one in, turning the other away), set the full pedal travel to 125...130 mm;
- press the clutch pedal until it hits the mat at least three times and check the pedal travel, adjust it with nuts 6 and 7 if necessary;
- without changing the pedal position, tighten the nuts to a torque of 1.5...2 kgf·m.
