1. Loosen the pump cover mounting bolt.

2. Remove the pump cover and strainer.

3. Loosen the six mounting screws and separate the upper and lower pump housings.

4. Press down on the diaphragm and rotate it 90° in either direction to disengage the diaphragm rod from the lever.

5. Remove the diaphragm with spring from the lower pump housing.

6. Inspect the diaphragm. If defects are found, unscrew the mounting nut on the rod and replace the diaphragm.

7. To replace the valve, press it out, having first removed the punch. After pressing in the new valve, punch its seat in four places.
