Removal
1. Remove the steering gear from the car (see "Steering gear - removal, installation, replacement").
2. Disconnect the steering rods from the steering mechanism (see "Steering rods - removal, installation, replacement").
3. Using side cutters, cut through the plastic clamp securing the steering rack protective cap.

4. Using a slotted screwdriver, remove the protective cap.

5. Using side cutters, cut off two plastic clamps securing the steering rack boot.

6. Remove the dust cover from the crankcase.

Installation
1. Place FIOL-1 grease into the internal cavity of the steering gear housing.

2. Install the dust cover and protective cap of the steering rack in the reverse order. Secure them with new clamps.
3. Install the tie rods on the steering mechanism.
4. Install the steering mechanism.
